Both Salehoo and Worldwide Brands have been around for a long time – Worldwide Brands is the oldest, having been founded in 1999 in Florida, but Salehoo is not far behind and was set up in 2005. Skip forward some years to 2018 and both are leading directories of wholesalers and dropshippers from across the world. But which is the best? That's what I'm going to talk about in this post.
Worldwide Brands is a directory of about 8,500 wholesalers, drop shippers and manufacturers from across the United States and the rest of the world. All are verified and guaranteed to be scam free, and all of them are willing to supply in either light bulk or on a drop shipping basis. From these suppliers there are about 15 million products that you can search through and buy at trade prices. Worldwide Brands costs $299, but that's a one off fee for lifetime membership.
Very much like Worldwide Brands, Salehoo is a directory of "screened" suppliers, mostly based in the United States, but with many from other countries like Canada, the UK, Australia and China. Again, like Worldwide Brands, Salehoo lists about 8,000 suppliers, but from these they have only 1.6 million products available to buy.
Salehoo is initially cheaper at only $67 per year, but unlike Worldwide Brands this is an annual fee for membership, not a one off payment, and so after a few years it works out to be much more expensive than Worldwide Brands.
Which is Better?
Both are good, but Worldwide Brands is better value for money in 2018. Worldwide Brands has a one off membership fee (with no extra or hidden costs) and ten times as many products to buy at trade prices than Salehoo has.
Worldwide Brands has one other key advantage over Salehoo – if there are no suppliers for a product that you want to buy in their directory, they will go out and find one for you.
